Declan Rice rounded off the last days of his vacation with surprise friends as he linked up with Bruno Fernandes and Rafael Leao for a training session in Portugal.

Rice, whose vacation might just extend a little bit longer due to his imminent move to Arsenal, went through his paces at the Algarve region.

It is not exactly known how the outgoing West Ham captain linked with the Portuguese stars as he shared photos on his Instagram of them training and enjoying a game of football.

The 24-year-old is set to complete a move to Arsenal but as the Mirror reports, the Hammers are getting frustrated by Arsenal's progress, more than 9 days after agreeing a British record fee for the midfielder.

David Moyes' side are set to receive 100million euros for the player who started his career at Chelsea. Arsenal beat Manchester City and Bayern Munich to his apparent approval but are yet to make the signing official.

Arsenal's Head Coach Mikel Arteta would like to have his priority target when they head to the United States for their preseason tour.

Rice is expected to slot directly into Arteta's midfield with Thomas Partey's place under threat.

Why Rice to Arsenal is not complete

The anxious wait by Arsenal fans to see their move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice completed may wait a little longer or lesser, depending on the final details of the deal.

There were expectations from Arsenal fans that the move would be made official on Friday after the player was spotted at their facilities, but as of this moment, an announcement is yet to be made for him or Jurrien Timber, whom Arsenal have agreed on a fee of £40m with Ajax for. Sports Brief reported that the East London club are waiting for their opponents' lawyers to approve the final wording of the deal before the two clubs will sign and make it official.
